OLPC

What kind of support can I expect?

Because we are a small, non-profit organization, with very limited resources, One Laptop per Child Australia is able to provide with the following levels of support to participants in our Give 1, Get 1 program.

As the program grows we will make every attempt to increase the level of support provided.

Firstly, take the opportunity to have a read of the official XO user manual. These have not been printed and included in boxes to save the environment. This user manual is a one-stop-shop to understand your xo and can be found on your xo by clicking the "?" icon. You can also find it online.

If you require further assistance consider visiting the official OLPC wiki.laptop.org website or email support@laptop.org.au. One of our volunteers will attempt to assist you with your enquiry within 2 business days.

Why is all the pricing in US dollars?

The OLPC initiative is US-based. Due to currency fluctuations, it is impossible to determine a price in Australian Dollars that will remain constant, while still ensuring that OLPC Australia is able to provide the support required for successful deployments of XO laptops.

Why is there GST?

As you are receiving one XO laptop, we are required by law to collect GST. You will not be charged GST for the XO laptop you donate, this will be GST-Free.

What is the expected delivery time?

One Laptop per Child has provided us with a limited inventory of XO machines to use in our local Give 1, Get 1 program. This very limited supply can be delivered to early participants within ten working days of your payment clearing. Your laptop will be sent via with DHL. Please note that deliveries to remote areas will attract a surcharge.

Please take the time to read our delivery policy for further details. policy
